As far as I know, the only people to come to **Dope-a-Ween** as decidedly dead people were **Weirddave** as Jesus and **Bluesman** as that guy from “I Dream of Jeannie”, who is now dead as far as I can remember. **Gobear** came as a dead _thing_, but not an identifiable dead person. ---

This article from a website featuring information about many faiths, not all of them Christian, was sent to me by my priest last year: [http://www.beliefnet.com/story/47/story\_4771\_1.html](http://www.beliefnet.com/story/47/story_4771_1.html) It has a historical background to Hallowe’en, including the fact that it used to be celebrated in May, before some pope or another moved it to Oct. 31st. Call her out, **ladybug**. Make sure she doesn’t put up a Christmas tree, or holly. Or have anything to do with eggs and bunnies at Easter. Remind her that she won’t be taken seriously as a zealot until she goes the distance and gets rid of ALL pagan-inspired holiday trappings. ---

My friends, we’ve been had.
