Exactly. The fascists are moving their private military into cities. There was always going to be a series of incidents that gave them whatever thin justification their followers still need to declare a national emergency. If not this, then anything else, or they’d make something up. But absent Charlie getting neck blasted here, the end result would not change. ---

That was rude. I have never heard of David Pakman, either (but nor do I “disdain” whatever it is). The fact that several Dopers who are clearly well informed about many things don’t know about someone, while others find that surprising, is itself interesting – and we find this out partly through the data points of someone saying “I’ve never heard of X.” I wouldn’t have heard of Charlie Kirk if my teenage son hadn’t told me about him, for example. And I do the Saturday NY Times crossword puzzle in twenty minutes, so there. 🙂 Oh, and I’m very liberal. But my YouTube channels tend toward Rick Beato and MentourPilot. ---
