I must be in the minority, I’ve never heard of him. I don’t care how noxious his views were, if he’s got small children then it’s a shame for them to likely lose a parent. As someone who has never picked up a gun, I’m amazed that a shot from 200 yards away is apparently fairly easy. That’s two football fields! The width of a neck from that far away is a very small angle and I can’t imagine holding a rifle that steady and that accurately. ---

They probably weren’t aiming for the neck, but a neck shot is sufficient. ---

It suggests that the shooter spent significant time at a range. It’s not “one in a million” hard, but it takes practice. ---

Sight your gun in (even better if you’re using a scope), know the trigger pull, do it from support (prone would be good, something like bench would be even better) and adjust for windage if possible. I think it’s a combination of a shooter actually knowing what he’s doing for a change and a little luck to get that kind of hit. Or possibly he was trying to shoot center mass and yanked it up. ---
