I want to give some props to Kirk’s wife. She made a proper eulogy, spoke about her husband’s aims to help young men he saw as lost and forgave the killer because that was what Jesus would do. I may still not agree with her views but I do not doubt she is a Christian and her speech contrasted with the political ones. ---

I’m mainly surprised an NFL team would let the Kirk funeral be held at its stadium. Usually, sports teams are wary of taking an overtly political stance for or against one political side. ---

I watched ‘highlights’ of it here in Aus, and just wanted to stick my fingers down my throat in reaction to to hypocrisy and fawning of the speakers, including Kirk’s wife. My god, if such a spectacle had happened anywhere else in the world, the rest of the planet would be girding their loins in anticipation of a full-on war! ---
