I love that you’re trying to pass this off as absurd.
Please, continue to try to support the argument that the evidence that the man wandering down the freeway naked is mentally ill is that he was wandering down the freeway naked.

Every war is ideological until it comes to open warfare, though I’d take pains to say that Groypers are not exactly immunized against idiocy.
Rationalizing something doesn’t validate the reasoning, it’s just pointing out that the reasoning exists, even if it’s not especially sound reasoning. Again I wouldn’t suggest that Groypers are any kinds of national strategists, but it’s not a big leap to understand that what’s good for Kirk is bad for Groypers, and it’s not surprising that they’d react negatively to it.
Kirk had always been close to Trump, his organization was elevated by Trump, and was positioned to be elevated further. He’s credited by many with Trump’s 2024 victory. You can see how this would affront and threaten Groypers, who see themselves as instrumental in making Trump 2016 happen. Assume that President Kirk or FBI Director Kirk actually happened. At best his far-right rivals would be diminished, at worst they might actually find themselves targeted for investigation, incarceration, or maybe outright elimination.
The trouble is that by the time someone does become “Hitler” it is far too late to do much about it.
I would argue that it’s not a “group” at all, just a description of people who listen to Nick Fuentes and enthusiastically support his ideology.
Yeah, but we can’t preemptively kill people “just in case”
I think they should make a new candy bar, the CharlieBar. It’s made of bitter white chocolate, nuts and rat turds, and the package is wrapped too tight. And everybody has to eat it and like it, no dissent allowed!
But he will, or would have, in the future. Has anyone considered that the killer is a time traveler?
So Fuentes is ideologically a coward. “I advocate for violence - oh wait, someone took me up on it! And I might be next? Oh dear, let’s all calm down.”
Of course he is. He’s all sorts of coward.
Just saw an interesting take on this online. Somebody posted “I don’t support what happened to Charlie Kirk. But Charlie Kirk supported what happened to Charlie Kirk.”
Dylan Burns, a guy who has been reporting from the ground on Ukraine for the last couple of years, has this message to all the people screeching for civil war:
Maybe whittle down Stone Mountain until it’s just a big Charlie Kirk head. Good for tourism if nothing else.
I break with thee, I break with thee, I break with thee! [Throws dog poop on their shoe]
Yep! In this thread, even.
So, like, melon-sized?
I’ve suggested similar. Point a big Howitzer at the mountain and charge to shoot it. I’m in!
The latest “leaks” being spread today on rightwing boards and channels (including at least one Fox News commentator) is that Robinson was living with a transitioning partner, and that that individual is cooperating with the investigation. Whether this will prove to be a made-up or “tweaked” leak just to keep the base riled up remains to be seen.
I saw this… Here’s hoping those reports are wrong.
That he messaged his friend (potentially roommate or partner, but those are unconfirmed to my understanding) and asked them to hide the gun does imply some level of trust that could line up with them being romatically involved. But of course, that doesn’t mean that they’re trans. And this guy also confessed to his dad, which turned out to be a bad call (for him) - so maybe he’s just not the best judge of character.
Exactly. A liberal Mormon isn’t a fuckin’ liberal. There is a vast gulf between the two.
Did he? Or did everybody who knew him just recognize him from the photos released. I thought all the dad did was talk him into surrendering.
Looking it up, the dad asked him “is this you”, Robinson answered “yes”, the dad told him to turn himself in, he said no, the dad told him to talk to a pastor, and some time later he was in custody. I don’t know if the pastor convinced him to turn himself in or just called the cops?
I read that the pastor was a cop.
Mormon pastors all have day jobs, fwiw.
Well, fuck.
The source for this is a Fox News digital reporter named Brooke Singman, who claims to be citing law enforcement sources. I have no idea of the quality of her reporting.
Agreed. It wound completely fit the narrative that the right wing wants to sell.
