The Seattle ABC affiliate — a Sinclair station which has run “exposés” about how the city is an unlivable shithole run by “socialists” — will preempt Kimmel tonight to run … a tribute to Charlie Kirk. It seems to be an initiative from Sinclair rather than the station itself, but that doesn’t make it any less nauseating.
Sinclair is doing that with all their ABC stations.
So far this deification of Charle Kirk is the worst fucking part of it, treating him like he’s Martin Luther King or Gandhi or even Abraham Lincoln or some shit. Is Charlie Kirk day going to become a national holiday? Maybe we’ll start naming airports, ships, and military bases after him? Will AI cameras everywhere read our lips to assess if we’re talking about The Great Charlie Kirk and some goons will come out and snatch us to make sure we’re talking about him favorably?
The dude was a podcasting propagandist. This is way worse than when Rush Limbaugh got the presidential medal of freedom.

Inasmuch as KOMO has decided to assist President Trump in censoring free speech and his attacks on the Second Amendment, by refusing to air Jimmy Kimmel, I feel that it is a duty as an American to contact your sponsors and advise them I will not be buying their products until KOMO stands up against illegal threats by the President.

While I support your right to get a gun with Jimmy Kimmel’s picture on it, I think you may have invoked the incorrect amendment there.
KOMO has no say in the matter, because they are controlled by Sinclair.

There’s a proposal to rename part of one of Phoenix’s freeways after that waste of skin.

I’ve seen a few posts on effective ways to protest (one from a corporate social media manager, one from someone in advertising), and they suggested in order of effectiveness:
- Contact brands advertising on CBS stations to let them know you are boycotting their products due to their support for censorship (and then follow through on it)
- Write an actual letter to CBS/affiliate
- Send an email to CBS/affiliate

True, but if they get enough complaints, they will let CBS/Sinclaire know and can apply some small amount of pressure.
The nastiness that happened after the forced airing of the supposedly independent news editorial shows us that Sinclair will do nothing, no matter how it effects the local advertising. They control enough stations to easily take the possible hit.
Who would’ve thought letting a few mega corporations own all media in the US could be problematic

Sinclair won’t care about just one station. You’d have to get people to boycott all Sinclair stations.
Also, isn’t it ABC and not CBS that is doing the censorship this time around?
I have mentioned that until his death I never heard of Kirk. His murder is despicable. But I have heard so much pro and con about him that I don’t know what to think of all the uproar.
Can someone post me to articles that in their opinion describe him and his career accurately?
