So this is the second debate. Why 3 debates weren’t agreed to initially is unknown, at least to me. ETA: what @Smapti said. ---

Based on the responses so far, I agree this thread is fine to continue for Debate Watch™. If someone offers a compelling reason why a new thread should be started, we can reconsider. But I agree with @Spoons, another thread would create unnecessary confusion about which thread to post in. ---

The risk is that Harris will not do tremendously well the first time, or that her debate bounce will be worn off by the time most of us vote. Am I claiming I understand this stuff better than the Harris team? No. Maybe they gamed it out and decided the best time to push Trump for another debate or two is after her first. We’ll see. ---
