Exactly. He has agreed with his campaign managers. He certainly hasn’t agreed with anyone in the Harris campaign apart from Sept 10. Three debates in such close proximity to each other doesn’t make a lot of sense. Trump’s just trying desperately to make one happen on Fox where it would likely make him look better, and she’s (wisely) not interested. One debate will be plenty. I think they should keep the audience but mute the mics when the other person is speaking. ---

I believe the plan is that if he can get Harris to agree to a debate on Fox , on Sept 10 when the ABC debate is scheduled, he’ll suddenly test positive for COVID, or have some other excuse for not showing up. He really doesn’t like the ABC rules. ---

The debate on Sept 10, on ABC, not Fox, is the only debate both parties have agreed to, even though Trump stated he would not attend, despite the fact he had agreed to it with Biden. The bullshit Sept 4 debate on Fox, with Trump calling all the shots, Harris has wisely not agreed to, and letting people know after the Sept 10 debate if there would be another, thereby putting the kibosh on any chance of the Fox debate. She wasn’t born yesterday. ---

I can’t help but wonder if Trump’s announcement of the “other two” debates is something that the networks _did_ agree to, but Harris didn’t. Because … Trump is a ratings _boondoggle_ for the networks. It may be that Trump feels there’s a better than even chance that Harris _won’t_ show up, and that the networks will give him 60-90 minutes of uninterrupted air/rage time. And if she _does_ show up for either or both of the two pending debates, he may still like his chances. After all, filibustering with pure bullshit and absolutely no substance … is his native tongue. ---
