I wouldn’t be surprised if, after a week of relative quietude, he just comes out swinging and says “fuck this quarantine shit” and begins campaigning as a he way to show his manhood. He can use this infection and turn it into a theme, whereby he says “Look at me, I’m tough, I bet Joe would die if he got it.” ---

First off you vote for electors not candidates. The electors are theoretically free agents. In practice, the RNC will choose a replacement, most likely Pence and a replacement for Pence (Nikki Haley seems likely) and the electors, reliable Republicans will nearly all go along with this. ---
