# Trump and organized crime

This is not an accusation of any kind- I’m just curious if Trump, in any of his books, mentioned any interaction with organized crime. It was my impression that, back before the families were eviscerated by Rico, that nothing in the building trades could happen without dealing with OC.

It would be remarkable if he didn’t have indirect involvement with the mob, but that’s true of a lot of businesses in the NY metro area. Doesn’t mean he ever cut a deal himself. He seems like the type that would plan ahead and get the right unions and contractors hired so it wouldn’t be an issue.
