Figures. As noted in the thread linked in my previous post, Obama did not ban Fox News.

The trouble is, the press is reporting on this story instead of continuing to report on the FBI-Russian story from earlier. The press is continually getting played by Trump and getting deflected from more important stories and they don’t seem to be learning that he’s all theater.

I think Trump should still be invited; everyone else can no-show at the last moment. Either that or let Rosie O’Donnell and/or Alec Baldwin emcee.

I doubt that. I haven’t forgotten the FBI thing, nor will 45’s political opponents. And unless things change, he’s not even throwing the Republican attack dogs off the scent. When and if there are hearings, there will be plenty of coverage. It’s not going away.

(I like the 45 thing, btw. It gets a little old calling him the Orangutan all the time.)

I think that this is awesome!

Screw the liberal, lying, fake news MSM.

They are not media, they are basically a propaganda wing of the Democrat party and they have been colluding for a long time.

It’s very refreshing to see how much more transparent and how much more honest this administration behaves in contrast to the previous clowns and incompetent corruptocrats.

Trump should treat them like the enemy that they are.

**Less Than Transparent: Journalists Fault Obama**

_Mr. Earnest highlighted some of the ways the Obama administration has improved transparency in the White House. Yet, over nearly the past eight years, the Society of Professional Journalists and other groups have repeatedly outlined to the administration various ways in which transparency has gotten worse, including:_

> Trump keeps outdoing himself with his actions. I don’t see this whole “the press is an enemy of the people” thing ending well. Unfortunately, I think that the mainstream press will continue to get the short end of the streak (yes, I’m becoming more pessimistic as each day goes by). The quote that the mainstream press “doesn’t represent the people” is especially disturbing. It’s not the job of the press to “represent the people” it’s their job to report the truth. It’s obvious why Trump is doing this, what I don’t get is why Trump supporters eat this stuff up. What do you all think?

I am trying to understand this too about Trump supporters , maybe they hate to admit they made a huge mistake voting for trump b/c it would mean they voted for someone who has no clue to what the fuck he is doing ! Trump sure isn’t representing me ! The only" enemy of the people " I am seeing is Trump !

>
> President Obama is the first president to publish visitor logs of the journalists who attend off-the-record discussions meant to promote context and candor.

"Technically off the record, the president’s extended conversation in the Roosevelt Room that afternoon with 18 prominent columnists was part of a White House tradition aimed at influencing Washington thought leaders without leaving fingerprints — and without fear that an offhand comment from the commander in chief would spark the latest social media firestorm.

These presidential briefings are “a way for people to be able to set aside the urgency of supplying the latest quote from the president of the United States and sit back and listen to the broader argument,” said Josh Earnest, the White House press secretary. He declined to comment on the participants or the content of the discussions."

Pretty sure Fox wasn’t invited here either:

> **[Behind the War Between White House and Fox (Published 2009)](https://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/23/us/politics/23fox.html)**

> The heated back-and-forth has brought equal delight to Fox’s conservative commentators and liberal Democrats.

“Speaking privately at the White House on Monday with a group of mostly liberal columnists and commentators, including Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann of MSNBC and Maureen Dowd, Frank Rich and Bob Herbert of The New York Times, Mr. Obama himself gave vent to sentiments about the network, according to people briefed on the conversation.”
