the locker room calls stopped decades ago , they were replaced by the white house visits. News reports say less than 10 players were going to show up. I would guess a lot of coaches were going to skip it too. ---

So some of the team was already pissed at Trump, and decided not to go. The rest of the team, those players and staff not already pissed at him and presumably looking forward to the WH visit, was disinvited at the last minute by general announcement? Seems about right. ---

Last I heard, they are going to go ahead anyway. I kinda hope they broadcast it live, be kinda like watching paint dry, except it would be watching paint dry with patriotic fervor. Boy oh boy, the pulse fairly pounds! Military bands playing patriotic medleys! Huzzah! Military music, the musical equivalent to military intelligence! (So, does this mean that all the Beach Boys are dead? Ted Nugent waits by the phone…) ---
