I’m a registered Republican. You have to be in some party to vote in primary elections. Same in PA. I’m not a member of any party. As others have said it’s not right-wing. It may surprise you to know liberals own guns too. I’m not sure where you get affluent suburb. From what I can see the town is slightly below the median household income for the country. So just an average suburb. I haven’t seen anything about his father. Maybe you’re right. An AR-15 isn’t expensive. You can get a lower end one for $400. I was able to buy a computer in 1982 for $1400 using paper route money. ---

I’m just stunned that law enforcement was not on those roofs. That is way too close. The photo that nbc news is showing is of a very young looking 20 year old. ---

any word from Trump, yet? It is “remarkable” that (to my knowledge) he hasn’t been in the media yet … anybody venture a guess if his medical situation goes beyond a grazed by the earlobe … (and closely related to that) … any word yet on the caliber of the weapon (I assume that a.) is closely related to b.)) ---

I haven’t seen anything about the weapon other than “AR-15 style.” They are usually 5.56mm but “style” covers a lot of different models that look like an AR-15 but aren’t. Most likely it is 5.55mm/.223 cal since that’s most common. ---

Reporting on nbc is that the firearm belonged to the shooter’s father. The pictures they are showing are 2 years old, high school graduation, and 2 posed pictures. ---
