I despise Trump with every fiber of my being, yet I don’t think assassination is the way to go and I condemn the attempt. (If that’s what it was - the whole thing is very strange. Still, a failed attempt on Trump’s life is the obvious conclusion.) As to the conspiracy theories, c’mon guys - don’t be silly. Trump doesn’t NEED to stage an asinine shooting attempt. He’s doing just fine. So @octopus, please don’t assume that just because people hate what Trump stands for, they all minimize the severity of political violence when Trump is the target, or automatically go to ridiculous conspiracy theories. Obviously, a few people will do that. But I’d like to believe that on the whole, most anti-Trump people are decent human beings. ---

I have been shot in the ear and various places around the head with Airsoft guns and while they do indeed hurt, I have been lucky enough that I’ve never had one of those pellets break skin. ---

Theres a video, which I just saw, on X, saying what a hero he is for raising his fist and saying, Fight. Fight. He did not seem scared. Were the SS on their toes here, did they protect quick enough? ---

Yeah, last thing we need is an assassination. Political violence is wrong and, besides, that would lead to the Pubs winning in a landslide, I would think. Totally counterproductive. ---
