One suspects that the White House has informed Karoline Leavitt and all other spokespeople that they are to _only_ pronounce “venous” as “VANE-us,” not “VEE-nus,” so that it does not rhyme with, and be misheard as, “penis.”

I think so. He’s clearly had this condition for a while. They’re mentioning it now to try to get MAGA minds off Epstein.
As to whether it’s actually Congestive Heart Failure (instead of the claimed Chronic Venous Insufficiency)–note that Trump and his minions have NEVER been honest about his health. So it wouldn’t be surprising if they’re “admitting to” a less-serious-sounding ailment.

That sums up my feelings.
Unless, of course, I should get diagnosed with one of those Hollywood terminal illnesses, where I appear to be, and function as though, in perfect health for five months and three weeks, then am on my deathbed for a week, while family gather round, and make hilarious wisecracks to relieve the tension. I’m hiring Tina Fey to write my deathbed scene.
Anyway, I have a plan for those five months and three weeks.

I know, right?
I, for one, was shocked! _SHOCKED_, I tell you!
I read the book referred to, and I couldn’t believe it! Wilson’s wife Edith pretty much ran things after Wilson had a stroke in 1919-- which means she was running things in 1920, when women’s suffrage was finally ratified.
And that’s just for starters.
