Maybe. I think Mitch’s approach has been a ‘wait and see’ strategy from the start. He’s very careful not to get cross with Trump’s base - because it’s his base, too. I go back to the psychology of authoritarians who want to dismantle democratic systems. They govern by both explicit and implied consent, which is why they almost always tell you what they’re going to do in advance. Trump is telling us now what he intends to do: he intends to reject the will of the majority. He does not intend to cooperate with the incoming government if he loses power, which itself is something he will resist until being forced from the White House. We’re in for a shit storm these next few months, and only these next few months if we’re fortunate. ---

That was brutal. And hilarious. In an Armageddon- _Götterdämmerung_ kind of way. What movie is that from? I guess German speakers find it odd to watch with the English captions. I wanted the room to blow up at the end, but that’s just me, I guess. ---
