So apparently the lesson that Trump took away from January 6 was that next time he won’t wait until after the election to try to overthrow the government. ---

They _want_ people to vote for Trump out of this fear. We cannot let them have it this way, because it’s wholly empty and a false threat. @DrDeth is right and they’re not going to do shit - they’re all talk and no effing action. There is certainly the possibility of some isolated nutbar tantrums, but there won’t be another insurrection again - I don’t believe it at all. The best thing we can do to avoid political violence is to decisively elect the Democrat. ---

Oh, Trump spews and throws tantrums like a 3 yo. But he has 1000s pampering, spoiling and catering to his latest whim. They play the game or end up indicted, or in jail. One more step and he’ll just go ahead and have the ones who push back killed. He’s dangerous in his stupidity and the power he yields over these sycophants. If he loses I’m sure Harris can round up the nutjobs that go berserk and like the Jan. Sixers they’ll get their day in court. Anybody smart will be prepared before election day for a shelter in place self restriction til it dies down. ---

You mean the same ones who threatened civil war if the 2020 election wasn’t overturned? The ones who were going to prevent the FBI from executing a search warrant on his Mar a Lago property by any means necessary? The ones who were going to protect TFG from being arrested? The ones threatening the judges and prosecuting attorneys in his criminal and civil cases? IF any of them actually try anything, they’re going to accomplish jack and shit. As much of a danger to democracy as he is, he’s not Hitler or Mussolini, he doesn’t have a private army of armed, organized thugs doing battle on the streets against his political opponents.
