CNN is saying that “he’s gone from reality TV to reality.” They’re making much of the fact that he is in a rare situation for him: he is not in control. And they are suggesting that the gravity of the situation is indeed sinking in. ---

Someone on ABC News mentioned Trump’s mentor Ray Cohn, always told Trump to never stop fighting. Fight to the end. Fight, fight, fight, never concede anything. But his advice also was, “Don’t get arrested. You lose control.” Welp! ---

Per NYT…Trump’s arraignment is set to begin any minute now, but first the judge will hear from a lawyer representing several news organizations, including The New York Times, that are seeking greater access to the courtroom. Ugh. Lawyers. ---

Heh. Earlier, I commented on establishing traditions for arresting a former president. CNN just showed a clip of Trump entering the court room, where the court officers let the door close behind them, so Trump had to open the door for himself. I think that’s a great precedent to be set! “And now, the bailiff lets the door slam in the president’s face, _as is tradition…_” ---
