I’m inspired. In tribute to our new president-elect, I’ve amended my sig-line, which had remained as it was lo these last sixteen years or so, and which I never include in any of my posts anymore, but once was thought upon fairly fondly by the Doper hoi-polloi back in the hay-day of sig-lines … but I digress. ---

Trump said he wanted to eliminate much of the EPA during the campaign. He appointed someone who is anti-EPA to head it. The realistic interpretation is that in this case Trump aims to keep his campaign promise. Why do you think he would be reneging on his campaign promise? If you believe this you’re even more naive and gullible than the average Trump supporter. ---
