Yeah totally but not because of any particular function of government stopping working. If he was really dangerously ill it would leak because keeping it secret would require an incredible amount of discipline and organization on the part of his team. Even with the current lame excuse for a press corp, there is no way the collection of incompetent fascist bootlickers around Trump would be able to keep that secret.

Apparently the White House thought it would be convincing to release a photo of the Orange Walrus golfing. The picture had palm trees in the background. The official schedule for the day has him golfing in Virginia, where palm trees do not grow.

I’m getting lots of returns for ‘are there palm trees in virginia’ (yes), and the same phrase with ‘golf’ added, on social media pages. One person says, ‘No - I live a couple of miles from the golf course and there are no palm trees in Sterling, VA.’

He also posted a photo of a professional golfer in his party. The funny part was, the golfer was wearing the same clothes he wore the previous weekend, at a different golf course.

Something is decidedly wrong here. Why else would they resort to easily debunked photos? Seems pretty amateurish to me. I hate to get my hopes up, but there has to be some fire with all this smoke.

Plus he’s not the one to shy away from public appearances and Xits, even if it would seem prudent. So there is at the very least a debilitating medical issue. (in the sense of short-term incapacitation, not necessarily mortality.)

Trumpists post fake shots of him all the time. I don’t think there’s a lot here. Could Trump be having a medical issue? Sure. Lots of 79 year olds manage medical issues.

The posting-of-week-old-photos seems very much in the tradition of Woodrow Wilson’s incapacity being kept secret. Why would the White House (meaning, likely, Stephen Miller and maybe the Trump kids) bother to post old pics, if Trump was just fine?
Trump’s silence is also unusual enough for speculation about it to rise about the “conspiracy theory” level. He loves to see fresh video of himself bloviating on each day’s news shows. Why would he stay silent unless he had to (for fear of revealing his frailty)?
We’ve been teased with stories about his poor health many times. But this time seems like the real deal.

I’ve just about had it with this thread. Over at the Daily Beast David Rothkopf ably articulates some of my thoughts.
