I keep thinking of George Bush, the elder. In his declining years after leaving office, their were some news reports of him acting inappropriately with female staffers and reporters (Search on George Bush and David Coppafeel for details). Shortly after that his family announced that he would no longer be making public appearances, and shortly after that he died. The Bush family, whatever one may think of their politics and policies did take care care of the old man and he was cared for and protected until he died. The world might be a better place if the Trumps had similar family values but I expect Trump will end up something like some of the speculations given above. I feel good about that. ---

Of course, but he and his people have spouted off so much verifiably false bullshit that I doubt anyone aside from the true faithful will believe it. Like, I doubt that large a percentage of people really think the reflecting pool was sabotaged, for a current example. The MAGA/Qanon simps are going to believe what they believe but I’m sure even many of those people are just going to move on to the next batshit conspiracy once he croaks. ---

Eli Lilly is currently developing a new GLP-1 injectable weight loss drug that is expected to work even better than Ozempic or Mounjaro. It’s still a long ways away from FDA approval. Last year, however, the FDA approved an unnamed 79-year-old man with sleep apnea and pulmonary hypertension to have exclusive access to the drug, according to sources who were afraid of government reprisal for leaking the information. Hmm. A politically-connected 79-year-old who’s seriously ill and obese and is extremely sensitive about his weight and doesn’t want people to know how sick and fat he is?
