I haven’t been following this thread much, but I checked in today hoping for some good news about Donnie’s health. IOW confirmation of the thread title.. 🙃
What was/is his big announcement? Don’t make me watch him, please. I’m old–my system can’t take it.
I looked at the live feed for about 15 seconds and saw “Colorado,” “mail-in ballots,” and “corrupt system” go by. What is he blathering about?

It’s something I’ve never quite understood. Space Command was needed, of course, but I’ve never quite understood the logic that it needed to be its own uniformed branch separate from the Air Force. I’m willing to believe that it made sense like splitting off the Army Air Force if someone could make the case but I’ve never seen anyone actually try.

Asked why Space Force is moving from Colorado to Alabama: “Colorado is corrupt, their mail-in voting, put in by a liberal state government, makes elections untrustworthy.” (Paraphrased.)

OK… Trump is apparently upright and speaking.
He’s moving Space Force to Alabama and the town it lands in will henceforth be known as “Rocket City”.
This is being done because mail in voting and Democrats have made Colorado a corrupt hellhole.
He WILL be sending the National Guard to Chicago whether or not the governor of Illinois begs and pleads with him to send the National Guard.
DC is now utopia.
He’s going to put “toppings” on the streets and graffiti in DC to make it all spic n’ span
Word salad.
Did I miss anything or is that about the sum of that dog and pony show in front of the cameras?

Let’s say the imports are on track to be the same. In 6 months of Trump that means you imported probably about $1.7 trillion in goods. To make “trillions”, plural, from tariffs, you’d be paying an average of more than 100% on everything you buy.

Right now, Illinois governor Pritzker is holding a press conference. (I’m watching on CNN.)
He doesn’t want the National Guard, especially if Trump sends it. Chicago has hosted many big events (conventions, sports, and similar), and never needed any outside help.
Illinois has been informed that ICE will be moving in, but few details from ICE as to how.
“I refuse to play a reality game show with Donald Trump again.” He points out that he’s not going to beg Trump for something that Illinois doesn’t want.

The problem with this scenario is that since the Orange Peril is incapable of keeping his word, he assumes Dan Bongino — or anyone else — cannot be trusted to do so. And he’s probably right: “honor among thieves” is an oxymoron (in this case, with special emphasis on the last two syllables).

Never found the “right” thread to post this before now; it’s interesting and an FYI.
This just in: Yahoo News posts actual fake news.
The day after the Minneapolis shoot, Yahoo News reported that people were holding a vigil across the street from the church… and that a gunman drove by and shot four of them, killing one. I searched other outlets and I saw nothing. I kept the window up for days, hoping to list it in a thread about Minneapolis and to expose Yahoo News as one step away from comic book fiction, but no such thread materialized. They reported a shooting that did not happen. They are no longer any sort of semi-reliable news source.
And now, back to the Orange Ghoul-in-Chief.

They never were. They are a news _aggregator_. They grab others’ stories and republish it.
The only thing different now is that they grab stories from less-reliable news sources than they used to.

Honestly, at this point, _everyone_ should be planning to screw Trump with any leverage they have, or might get in the future. Get enough leverage to force him to quit, by promising not to release the information if he goes quietly, and then release it anyways, as soon as he’s safely out of power.
Even if this trashes your own reputation, it’s worth it to do as much as possible to prevent Trump from ever rising again.

Huntsville, Alabama (where he wants to move Space Force HQ to) has been already called “Rocket City” since the 1950s, due to its continuing role as a hub for NASA and its predecessor agencies.
But, I have no doubt that the Orange Leader will claim that he coined the nickname.
