I certainly agree that absence of Trump is not enough. It is also true that, without Trump, the opposition is likely to shatter and scatter, making the perfect the enemy of the good, as has been their wont at least since Reagan. I don’t suppose it has to be that way, only that that is the most likely outcome. The changes that would be required to uplift that reservoir into a better state are vast and slow to take effect. It would take many people of vision to lead us in that direction, instead of more insects squabbling for temporary influence or control. I don’t know where to find such people. ---

Thanks. I’ve been reading a lot of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King lately. I think what our movement needs is a lot more focus on what brings us together and what we need to move forward. And a lot less of what went poorly in the past. ---
