As mentioned, i know a lot of bell ringers. Would their celebratory peal be officially called that by the host church? No. Would it happen anyway? Damn good chance. I heard a joke this weekend: Trump went to Pope Frances’funeral, and he was upset that the event wasn’t all about him. And so was everyone else. ---

We can excuse lewdness but no bad grammar! (The an/a thing mystifies me, I thought originally that it was A before a consonant and AN before a vowel, but then you lot go on about “An SUV” , so I deduced that is not applicable to the actual letter but the letter’s pronunciation, and since English pronunciation is a Dark Art I gave up) ---
