What a great trick by Trump. In a couple of tweets, he created a situation and a separation that, for most of the country, is about as stark as it can be. If you stand for the national anthem, you’re with Trump. Now, look at the huge majority of the country, and tell me whether they stand for the national anthem or not. It’s hilarious to see the political junkies with enormous blinders on this forum try to convince themselves that this was some kind of a blunder by Trump. ---

It’s one thing to have a different worldview; it’s another thing to embrace a worldview that has historically been shown to be quite divisive and destructive. You seem to embrace the divisions and revel in the fact that people are offended by the president’s obvious attempt to sow discord. There’s nothing at all democratic about that, and I refuse to try to “understand” and have an open dialogue or whatever the fuck journalists and pundits want to call it. ---
