He’s really cool. Also, if you haven’t already, Rick Beato’s channel is quite interesting, though a bit more advanced.

TL;DR all of it.
However, even if Trump have “won”, can you explain how this whole thing have been good for him or for the nation ? Didn’t he have any more important things to do ? If not, why not ? Have the “losing” side seen the light and now agree they’ve been wrong or are they even more against Trump than before ? Why Trump did this when it’s perfectly obvious that he himself doesn’t respect the anthem, the flag, the troops, the constitution or the law ?

Tell us what was the great strategic 9-D chess idea behind this. And try to make it seem like he’s thinking the best of the country. I dare you.

Seriously, how many times a day do you masturbate while looking at his picture? Seems to me that your loyalty is to him and to him alone, regardless of whether it is right or good for any soul other than him. Did you take a loyalty oath to him personally similar to what Germans did for Hitler?

Goodell, in the midst of many long statements supporting his players, said " he thought players should stand for the anthem". But he’s not changing any policies, he’s not requiring anyone to stand, and he certainly has no intention of “firing the sons-of-bitches”.

[http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000860248/article/roger-goodell-no-policy-change-on-national-anthem](http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000860248/article/roger-goodell-no-policy-change-on-national-anthem)

In a couple of weeks he will attend player-owner meetings to discuss the social issues in question and how to move from “protest to progress”.

But Trump needs a win and the only way he can win is by cheating so he made up a lie about Goodell “demanding” that players stand and tweeted it out. Which Goodell immediately refuted. But Trump lies and OkraDumbAssHoma believes.

Oh I know Rich Lowry hates Trump. Always had. That doesn’t detract from his analysis.

Yet again another football is yanked away from Trump haters.

I agree that warrior worship is out of control in this country. But they are better than average (i.e. superior citizens than average) A cop during the LA riots can quit and go home. A soldier cannot, they know that going in. But I agree military concerns do not trump all other concerns.

Well, if you go to any professional sporting event, almost then entire audience in attendance is white, I don’t know that they are overwhelmingly racist.

What makes you think they’re racist rather than simply offended by the apparent disrespect towards the flag, the military, the veterans, etc? Just because Kaepernick says he doesn’t mean it that way?

Kneeling during the anthem is a variant of flag burning (only without actually burning a flag). You have the right to burn the flag, but you can’t tell others not to be offended by it.

Maybe or maybe not. It seems that actually burning a flag is going to have a far more visceral reaction than simply refusing to honor one. Burning suggests more than just mere resistance or silent protest; it’s a form of protest in which hostility is highly visible, and thus the reaction is likely to be intense as well. If one of the players grabbed his package and give the flag the finger, then I’d probably be inclined to agree with you. But just kneeling or refusing to put your hand over your heart is not the same as actually torching or peeing on a flag. There’s a difference in degree.

</div>

And the difference is intentional, it is a deliberate effort to protest without being an asshole about it. Which is why it is so important to insist that it is deliberately disrespectful, to insist that taking the knee is the same thing as burning the flag. If they accepted it as polite protest, they allow that the protestors are mindful of the feelings of others and making an effort to respect that.

Can’t have that. That would be admitting that maybe something is wrong that needs our attention. That something needs to be changed. Pearls are clutched, horrified gasps issue forth.

It doesn’t mater whether you think you are or not. I’m not saying your stronger smarter or more moral. I’m saying that veterans (whether because they were drafted and didn’t run away to Canada or hide behind daddy’s money; or whether they volunteered) showed a sense of civic duty at some point in their life that probably makes veterans in general better citizens than the average person. because the average person includes draft dodgers like Trump. They necessarily bring down the average.

They do not give up their right to criticize others for being weenies. They can criticize Kaepernick for kneeling during the anthem. They can call it unpatriotic and they have every right to be offended.

I agree that Trump’s interjection in the debate changed things (at least for me) at that point it was no longer speech by a private citizen. It was the government chilling speech and it was no more acceptable than if the President told businesses who operated under a federal license or tax exempt status to fire members of the Republican party or even members of the KKK.

It’s about black people being victims of police violence. If you think that your being upset because people don’t behave as you want them to is their problem, you’ve got it backwards.

Its a form of flag burning (without actually burning a flag) and reasonable people can be offended by that. You may not find it offensive but others do. You cannot tell other people not to be offended by something that can objectively be perceived as offensive by saying “oh calm down, I didn’t mean it that way”

So lets say that in the process of protesting torture, a former POW referred to his torturers as gooks. He meant no offense to Asians generally and the issue he wants to focus on is torture but he continues to use the term gook while continuing to say its not about racism, its about torture. Can he deflect criticism of his use of the term that some find offensive by saying that it isn’t about racism?
