Hey now, the trumps don’t consider sitting down with someone and talking as a meeting. _insert rolling eyes here_ The protocols that every other politician has followed have been ignored by trump and his family. I’m simply flabbergasted that we can not throw the lot of them in jail yet. ---

One thing is nagging at me here: seeing a bunch of pictures of that dinner, see the empty chair, how come we don’t see the Orange Curse sitting next to Putin? Were the pictures few and far between, for some reason? Anyway, its not like it couldn’t have an innocent explanation, like plain ol’ dumb. I mean, its not like Bill Clinton talking on an airplane with Atty Gen Lynch, which clearly _reeks_ of skulduggery! ---

Could be they kicked out the press corp at some point through the dinner, but it is strange that no one seems to be explaining this discrepancy. ---

Reports say that the conversation lasted up to an hour. They are trying to dismiss it as a quite chat over dessert and the like. Even if this was 100% on the up and up and Trump was doing nothing untoward the optics and context are very bad. So nothing unusual here. Same old same old. If Obama had of done anything like this there would have been uproar but this will be hand waved away as nothing. ---

Since Obama wasn’t under investigations for secret dealings with Russia, and friendly chat between the leaders over dinner probably would have passed unnoticed. The problem is that with Trumps other Russia issues this adds to the circumstantial evidence against him, or as you said optics. Now if Obama had spent an hour at an unreported dinner with the Kenyan head of state that would have set of whooping alarm bells o the right wing conspiracy machine. ---
