Obama gave it to Warren Buffett, so I suppose there’s a case that it’s not too outrageous to give it to Adelson, as long as she’s done something–anything–beyond fund Trump’s idiocy. ---

they did not announce who accepted the medals for Ruth or Presley, at least not while I was watching. For Presley it was a guy , maybe a nephew or cousin? Maybe Lisa Marie did not want to show up. ---

I also suspect that Trump believes that by giving him the medal of freedom he can convince Tiger to endorse his golf courses. Or at the very least convince him to play a round with Trump at one of his courses according the the standard course rules (i.e. the rules don’t apply to Trump). ---
