Trump is so egotistical that I think if Hillary came out and said he was a “great business man and super intelligent person” that he would pivot and endorse her. he just simply cannot handle anyone speaking badly about him… ---

There were black people on Dick Van Dyke Show at least once, when they thought their son Richie had been switched at the hospital. The fact of the other couple being black was the point of the joke. ---

I think I understand the distinction he is making. He just wants people of any particular color to bugger off to wherever they or their ancestors originally came from so that America can become a _Leave it to Beaver_ or _Father Knows Best_\* type of place, you know, a country run by and for decent white people and not the Inferior Races. It’s not that he hates them. If they leave quietly, he’s not going to chase them or kick their asses or anything. 😃 \*_Father Knows Best_ had a number of episodes featuring a Mexican gardener named “Frank”. That’s not a Mexican name, but apparently “Frank” was obsessed with whitening and Anglifying himself, which was supposed to be an adorable virtue. In one episode he’s nominated to be one of the official greeters of a visiting dignitary to a Springfield flower festival, and hilarity ensues when the mayor finds out he’s Mexican and throws him off the committee. I don’t know how it ends but in keeping with the show’s moralizing I’m pretty sure that Jim, in his wisdom, convinces the mayor that in some respects, like showing flowers, a Mexican who tries really hard can be almost as good as a regular white person, and “Frank” undoubtedly reciprocates with a torrent of humble whimpering that makes him totally adorable. ---

Leave it to Beaver had a Spanish kid on the show, because Heaven forfend there be any of those people from Latin America on it, who didn’t speak English, but he and Beaver became friends until Eddy taught Beaver to say something in Spanish that he told him was friendly but was really an insult. ---

Yeah, after Trump uses his “brilliant” tactics to stiff the holders of government-backed Treasury bonds and notes and T-bills, the US federal government will only be able to get money on the global markets by getting Zimbabwe to co-sign for it. 😃 I can’t really decide if the man is such a total dumbass because he’s just so incredibly innately stupid, or if it’s because he’s been sheltered by yes-men for a lifetime and has never actually learned anything, or if it’s some combination of the two. ---

The other thing that comes to mind is, what if Trump started a bank. I don’t know what he would call it because he’s in no way narcissistic, but let’s just call it the “Trump Bank”. It works like this. You put your money in because it pays decent interest and your savings grow, and then eventually you want to take it out because you’re buying a house or a new car. You are then put in touch with a lunatic wearing an orange marmoset on his head. Quoth the lunatic: “Hey, I tell you what I’m gonna do. I wouldn’t normally do this, but I like you, so I’m gonna make you a deal. I’m gonna give you half of your money. Take it or leave it, that’s the deal. I do deals, and I’m the best at doing deals. You are a LOSER. If you wanted a better deal, you should of went to Trump University and you might of learned how this stuff works, loser.” ---

This had been kicking around a while, but seems to be getting traction in the news recently: Trump has been spending a lot of his meager campaign money paying for goods and services from his own companies. So he’s spending his donors’ money on himself. This apparently has just gotten on the news radar because of his latest FEC filings. IANAL, but the FDIC insures against “default”, defined as “failure to promptly pay interest or principal when due”. The funny part is that the credibility and credit-worthiness of the FDIC is stated as being “backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government”. Which, if the orange marmoset-topped one ever runs the place, will have about as much faith and credit as the guy on the street corner with the over-sized trench coat selling “genuine” Rolex watches. ---

I think that if human society survives this lunacy, that in 20, 30 years or so there will be history professors teaching this crap and saying “Yes, YES, an actual candidate of the Republican party ACTUALLY said he would negotiate the global debt by saying he would offer 50 cents on the dollar. I know, it’s crazy, but an astonishing number of Americans totally thought it sounded like a plan. Yes. He really did propose building a wall and making Mexico pay for it. I know! Completely insane. But it really happened.” ---
