They said it on the news again last night, that Trump was going to give a “major” speech. What a joke. That’s what they said about the previous one, too. (The one before the Scottish golf course speech. I don’t think the golf course speech was billed as “major”. I can’t tell the difference anyway.) ---

To be ruthlessly fair, Trump’s wording leaves open an interpretation with the assumption that the Russians already _have_ the e-mails, and Trump was urging that they be handed over to the FBI. Therefore, not enticing them to _further_ acts of espionage, but admitting acts already committed and turning United States evidence. Presumably, no witness protection programs are contemplated for Mr. Putin. ---

You’ve been sneaking a look at my Facebook feed. Stop it. Back when I still had a subscription to _Fortean Times_, I’d enjoy reading the little blurbs in the “Strange News” section where the inhabitants of some African village somewhere would swear up and down that a local witch was stealing their genitals, or whatever. I swear it’s about the same level of self-delusion with the Hillary-haters. ---

This Russia thing is a BIT MUCH! I’ve grown up with Republicans hating and accusing people of being “commies”, etc. And now Trump is aligning himself with Russia??? I’ll be watching for the reaction from Republicans as to this. Although there are a lot of younger people around these days - maybe things have changed and they like Russia?
