Obama said today that Trump is “Unfit to be President”. Say what you like about Obama, he does have a gift for understatement. Unfit to be President? Trump isn’t fit to serve me lunch! He’s a carnival barker. He doesn’t belong in the Oval Office. He belongs in a fairground in a sparkly suit and a top hat next to a rigged coconut shy. I used to think he didn’t really want to win, that his whole campaign was just an extended ad for his brand. After seeing his convention speech, I’ve been forced to change my mind. Yeah, on the one hand it was basically just a rambling confection of fear-mongering, dog-whistle bigotry and bellicose, soul-curdling gibberish but on the other hand the sheer force of his conviction proves he actually wants to win. The idea that this hucksterish buffoon could become the most powerful man on planet Earth is terrifying. They say satire died the day Kissinger won the Nobel Peace Prize. If Trump wins this election, not only will satire have died, it will have been exhumed and then reburied upside-down. P.S. - **dasmoocher** , that letter is great! ---

I think it’s because he’s not a politician. 😃 And as other posters pointed out, people take him seriously because he’s rich. Even if he deserved his inheritance or not. It’s like, “Wow.
