Trump SCOTUS nominees facing a Democratic Senate

Not responsive to the question that was being asked, which was directed at the comments by DragonAsh that Democrats can’t win back red Senate seats without first being able to undo gerrymandered districts in red states. To which I also say, how does that gerrymandering affect the ability of a state’s populace to vote for a Democratic senatorial candidate??

Did you also know that there’s an EU body where Luxembourg gets the same number of votes as France?

The senate can be considered to be gerrymandered by that forefathers, and also a bit by the way that states are set up. For instance, do we really need 2 dakotas? What’s wyoming but a southern branch of montana? Idaho, don’t you mean northern utah?

But yeah, the senate is actually relatively important, and undoing the gerrymandering of the house does little good if the senate continues to reflect the will of large swaths of uninhabited land rather than the people of the country.

I assume that DragonAsh misspoke, in regards to the senate, but I will agree with the idea that it is harder to win back the senate, to put a democrat in office, when your state representative delegation is all republican.

Do they confirm people to a supreme court that can affect the women’s reproductive rights?

They don’t need a court for that. EU countries can regulate abortion pretty much however they want, and do.

And Luxembourgh (and many other EU countries) already has more restrictive abortion laws than the U.S. You can get an abortion 4 weeks later in freakin Mississippi.

Right, which is my point. It is a completely different body with completely different rule, and completely different power over the people it represents. It is also not elected by the people, but appointed by the various national governments.

And, if we are finally at the point where we can look at europe and justify what we do here based on what they do, can we start looking into UHC now?

Gerrymandering.

When you talk about how morally reprehensible (and probably illegal) it is when he does it AND that it is the most ethical thing to do because you are preventing the forces of evil from destroying the game when you do it … then yes you are a hypocrite.
