_Many_ people are allowed to nominate people for the peace prize, so that’s no honor in itself. And he could not receive the award this year as the nomination deadline was in February. ---

Altho a nomination to any of the Science prizes in meaningful, a nom for the peace prize is meaningless- tens of "thousands of members of academies, university professors, scientists, previous Nobel Prize laureates and members of parliamentary bodies can nominate. " There is no criteria. In fact some CA University Professor nominated severa? One? prisoners on Death Row, just so that it would look like those were criminals who should not be executed. The meaningless Nomination was of course mentioned in most newspaper articles, as if it meant something. The Literature Prize also has a host of who can nominate. ---

He is absolutely desperate to get that award. Fortunately, he’s so reviled globally that he doesn’t stand a chance, and it’s one vote he can’t fix or sue to have overturned so we get to see him lose his shit about it. That’s always amusing. ---

Some of the people nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in the past are Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Rush Limbaugh, Benito Mussolini, Fidel Castro, Vladimir Putin, Elon Musk, and Michael Jackson. ---

Course, he did that to try to end the war, not start one… and it wasn’t the act he was awarded for. I don’t foresee Donald Trump lifting a finger, let alone getting serious $ from Congress, to help rebuild a war-torn Iran. ---

I say give him the award. It will be just like the military parade. Everything he ever wanted but no dopamine in return because his brain is broken and all he will ever have is _want want want_ but no satisfaction when he actually gets something. Give him _every_ award, bury him in how meaningless they are. However, this does presume that there is some small part of his ego, some inner child with mashed potatoes in his hair, who knows he didn’t earn it and doesn’t deserve it. The other 99% of Trump’s ego can probably block that out with shouting so it might not work.
