…or so says one of my Facebook friends. Seriously, how can people not be completely mortified by admitting to believing this sort of thing? Over and over there are people who say “the rapture will happen on (some date)!” and when (some date) comes and goes they just say “oh, I meant on (some other date)!”. I would vote for him. But, there are so many people in government at this moment, that could do a better job than Trump, it is almost laughable if it wasn’t so scary!! ---

Frankie’s so cool that he’s reaching out to us Lutherans, saying that our communion bread won’t turn to ashes on our tongues. Sounds like good news to me. I have to kind of wonder, though… The people who are spreading this obviously hate both Trump _and_ the Catholic Church, and are prone to conspiracy theories. I would have thought that most of the conspiracy-prone Catholic-haters would have been Trump supporters. Accusing Obama of doing this wouldn’t surprise me… but Trump? On a more practical note, this is obviously a demographic that we can turn out to vote against Trump in 2020, if we figure out the right messaging for them. ---
