Mexican Presidents don’t run for reelection. What this does to Pena Nieto in the polls doesn’t really matter. I want to know why Trump didn’t insist on there being an American flag on the podium behind them when they held their joint press conference, there was only a Mexican flag. Why does Trump hate America? ---

Now I am wondering in what other country he’ll turn up next. Israel seems to be a popular destination for candidates, although I am sure Bibi will be washing his one hair that day. ---

The Mexican President is saying that he made his position on the wall and payment for it clear from the very beginning of the meeting. Trump, the international statesman, bald-facedly lied on the world stage, standing next to the man who knows he is lying as he is lying. Please, please let there be recordings. ---

Who gives a shit what Nieto said? Could anyone seriously not see this coming? Seriously? Reporter: So what did you guys talk about? Donald: "I went in their privately and I said, listen up, amigo, you’re gonna build that fuckin’ wall or we’ll invade the Baja Peninsula and take that, too. Comprende? He agreed. Nieto: WHAT?! You never – I never said that! Donald: Yes, you did, lyin little Nieto. That’s what you said! :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: I mean, did anyone NOT see this coming?! Nieto absolutely got played, and he absolutely lost, and depending on how Trump spins this over the next few days, Donald Trump may have absolutely, positively scored the most humiliating victory by an American over a Mexican since the War of 1846. Why in the hell did Nieto even think of inviting Donald to Mexico?! It just doesn’t make sense unless you just want to embarrass the hell out of yourself and your countrymen. ---

The Republican nominee for President of the United States just got openly called a liar by the President of the world’s 10th largest country, was shown to be a coward and a weakling, has lost his #1 populist point (“we are building this wall and Mexico is paying for it”)… and his _detractors_ are spinning this as a win for Trump which not even his campaign is capable of doing? What bizarro-world is this? ---

He “invited” both candidates as a political move, saying “hey would-be Presidents of US, you gotta reckon with your biggest neighbor”. Earlier this evening, I saw the crowd chanting “Mexico! Mexico!” during the, if you will, opening act, regarding who will pay for the wall. To me, it sounded a lot like they were all saying “Sieg Heil”.
