Coming from a patriotic and military family I detest the idea of burning our nations flag. I personally find it abhorrent and disgraceful. That said, as protected speech, I would vote against such a law. It is a slippery slope to do ANYTHING to damage our right to free speech regardless of my personal feelings on the matter\*. \*plus Trump is an a-hole 🙂 ---

Nevermind the issue of property rights. If I burn the flag at the post office, I’m going to jail. As well I should. But if I own the flag, what then? Are conservatives really going to tell me I cant? ---

We still have a war over in Afghanistan although as your post demonstrates it’s largely forgotten. Which must suck for the guys still over there fighting. I’m OK with skipping the political assassinations. I feel a global pandemic more than makes up for that lack. Also, isn’t there supposed to be an asteroid fly-by today? This weekend? Let’s hope it stays a fly-BY and not a fly-AT. ---
