Republicans will have a majority in the Senate, and they could easily change the rules and take away the filibuster power from Democrats. ---

There’s a hardcore conspiracy theorist at work who has been crowing on about “Agenda 21”, the 9/11 “inside job” conspiracy, and is absolutely _convinced_ that Hillary was “preselected to win, years ago”… He’s not a bad guy, just has some wacky ideas and loves conspiracy theories\*… Assuming trump wins, I can’t wait to see his rationalization of the trump win and how it fits into his CT… \*a few months back, I made up, on the fly, a “CT” of how Lyme disease was actually a governmental plot to reduce the rural population because rural types are suspicious of government, and more metro-urban areas have people who are easier for the government to control, he enthusiastically fell for it hook, line, and sinker… ---

Wait til they realize that they can’t “lock her up” because she hasn’t even been charged with a crime, and never will be. ---

My first issue is if I try to get out of the market as it drops and take the 10 to 20% loss I will have by the time I can sell or try to wait out the crash that I expect to happen. Also my own selfish interests the flushing of Obamacare and pretty much everything that Obama accomplished will make the healthcare industry a complete mess. Practical side - Trump will delegate to Pence, who is an extreme religious conservative. The court will be stacked with his choices. Ryan on tax policies. Progress on climate change accords is out the window and seriously our _planet_ is _fucked_. To my future grandkids - I am sorry. ---

Yeah climate change is what I am worried about the most. If our global civilization collapses a hundred years from now, and people look back and wonder how it could possibly have happened, they may identify this moment as the turning point. ---

I have faith that our system can survive a Trump presidency. I still think he doesn’t really want the job and will basically coast. Let’s hope the bureaucracy can keep things running relatively smoothly. ---
