It still boggles me that this obnoxious guy can just barefaced, out-and-out lie in such an obvious way and a large number of people actually think he’d be a good President. I didn’t have a great deal of faith in humanity before, but it’s mostly gone now. This election should have been written by Voltaire. ---

Running won’t do any good, he’ll pretty much wreck every nation on the planet. Worldwide economic collapse and multiple major wars does that kind of thing. ---

Mars sounds good, with Tahiti as a close second. My original plan was the Philippines, because my wife has family and property there (and most speak passable English while I learn Tagalog), but they went and elected Duterte, a President who might, in comparison, actually make Trump look presidential. Costa Rica is higher on my list than Tahiti; both Canadian and Russian (Snowden) winters are off the table. Then I wake up, hunker in place, and start doomsday prepping. I’ve got a big, dry basement and attic. Next up, reinforce doors, windows, and first floor walls. Step three, mine my postage stamp sized Queens, NY front yard. Hmmm, maybe I should do that last one no matter what. 🆒 ---

I moved back to the USA from China because I suspect that Trump might win! Actually, that’s not true, but I expect that he’ll be impotent and so I’m not worried about a Trump presidency at all. I’m more worried about the scary clowns. ---

I already live in Thailand which is close enough to Tahiti so I picked that. In the unlikely event of a Trump victory I will stock up on popcorn and enjoy the spectacle while hoping he doesn’t start a nuclear war or a global economic crash . I’ll give you one thing , a Trump presidency would be many things , but it would never be boring and there would be a certain grim pleasure in being able to watch it from a distance , mostly unaffected . ---
