No shame in that. Hell of a good law school.
Obama left the race question blank on his Harvard application.
Also, people seem to forget this, but he was a legacy. His father got a Masters degree in Economics there.
Everyone knows that’s code for Muslim Kenyan Communist, though. No wonder he got in.
After the birth fiasco, you guys are acting like we should treat treat the new Trumped up school thing with respect. Do you never learn?
Heh, so true.
Of course they’ll just say Daddy Obama only got in because of AA, so by transference so too was Obama.
This is Trump showing his racism again. Obama was an unAmerican foreign born African with a phony birth certificate. Now he is one of those bad black people who take advantage of their color to get ahead. He would never have gotten anywhere with out using his blackness. Should have been smart like Trump and got born rich.
Clearly Trump is behaving in a way that many blacks and liberals would find offensive, but not a single sentence in your post is true. Nohing he has said makes him a racist. Questioning whether someone was granted special privilege because of his race does not equal racism - which, as you should know, is characterized by the belief that one race isn’t as good as the other. Trump has made no comment that could remotely be construed that way.
Trump never said nor implied that he thought Omama was unAmerican, and certainly not in regard to the normal meaning of the term. He merely questioned the circumstances of Obama’s birth and therefore his legitimate right to hold office.
He has never said anything along the lines of Obama being a “bad black”, nor that he would never have gotten anywhere with using his blackness. He has questioned Obama’s grades, most likely in an attempt to chip away at the perception of Obama as some sort of intellectual superman. Threre is no evidence to support a contention that Trump thinks Obama is anymore “unAmerican” than, say, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And although you clearly meant it facetiously, people don’t choose their parents so it’s not kosher to criticize Trump for not being born poor, or for being born rich. I’m sure you would have been happy to be born rich, although I imagine you’d deny it to your dying day. Anyone with as much scorn for wealth and money-making enterprise as you have certainly wouldn’t be likely to admit he’d like to have some filthy dinero himself.
So, it’s four up and four down. Not a truthful comment anywhere in your entire post.
(Btw, has it ever occurred to you that by having to invent untruthful sentiments and other lies about Trump only makes it look to reasonable people like you have nothing of substance to criticize him for?)
Note that there were eighty editors of the law review. What he was notable for was being the first African-American elected as president of the law review. Also, half of the law review editors were selected on the basis of grades, while the other half was selected by the students based on the results of a writing competition..
Trumps said he has a great relationship with “the blacks”. If it doesn’t make him a racist, it makes him an idiot.
Am I the only one who wonders whether this is really about the Donald having never gone to any Ivy League schools himself?
Sure, part of it is just his pathetic and desperate need for publicity. Still, it is hard not to view this as a whining tantrum brought about by his (as he probably views it) second-rate education.
Trump’s not a racist, probably. He’s just an attention whore who would cry himself to sleep at night were the media to ignore him for a few months in a row.
pssssst You misspelled “minutes.”
Well, he did get a undergraduate degree from Wharton.
True, but it doesn’t have quite the prestige of the Ivy League. I’m not saying that this is justified, but merely that it’s so perceived.
Lol.
That might be true. He strikes me as the sort of guy who’d give up all his money were it guaranteed that he’d be a media darling forever after. What a git.
Are you aware that the Wharton School is the business school at the University of Pennsylvania? In other words, it is the Ivy League.
Why? It’s been said he is popular with ‘the’ birthers; with ‘the’ Republicans; with ‘the’ Tea Partiers; etc. What is it about the word ‘black’ that prohibits the use of the word “the” in conjunction with it? Saying that no more makes him a racist than questioning Obama’s grades. He clearly meant the black community and you and I and everyone else knows it. If you people had to sit on the word ‘racist’ you couldn’t formulate an argument.
“you people”?
Yeah, “you people” who either see or falsely claim racism where it doesn’t exist.
I was trying to point out how the phrase “you people” (EXACTLY like the phrase “the blacks”) is used by slightly thuggish, sometimes clueless, always insensitive, often racist white folks, unwittingly revealing their insularity. Keep using it, SA, and keep defending its use–it tells us who you are, even if you continue to think of it as an innocent, racially neutral descriptor.
