I don’t know if it’s possible, but someone should check to see if he voted in California AND Florida in the last election. ---

Maybe this is just an attempt to build up support for voter ID laws. Republicans haven’t been able to find enough existing evidence of voter fraud so now they’re out there creating it. ---

I thought he had the voters registration for the past 7 years, but upon re-reading I missed the line in the article that stated “Records from the Orange County registrar of voters state that Bannon was registered to vote there from the 1980s until 2014, when he cancelled his registration and began registering in Miami.” It even lead a paragraph, too. OK, so he didn’t live there and this wasn’t a 7 year mistake that never got corrected. Point taken - I can no longer read for shit. 🙂 But this isn’t going to matter, not unless he actually voted or took tax breaks he wasn’t allowed to. And even if it’s the 2nd, he’ll get a fine and that’ll be that. ---

Maybe acting like his official residence is in Florida had something to do with his child support or other divorce settlement issue. Don’t jump down my throat, not defending him, just trying to come up with a motive less stupid than “he wanted to vote in Florida”. ---

I think the last time I renewed in Kansas, it was a separate form. However, I think you’re missing the point. If he filled out a driver’s license application and listed as his legal residence an address at which he did not reside, had never resided, and had no intention of residing, whether or not he accidentally checked an extra box doesn’t change the fact that the entire form is a lie, and probably constitutes perjury. Florida Statute 322.08 Application for license; requirements for license and identification card forms.— (1) Each application for a driver license shall be made in a format designated by the department and sworn to or affirmed by the applicant as to the truth of the statements made in the application. … 322.33 Making false affidavit perjury.—Any person who makes any false affidavit, or knowingly swears or affirms falsely to any matter or thing required by the terms of this chapter, shall be guilty of perjury and upon conviction shall be punished accordingly. ---

Obenshain, a Virginia senator, defended the infamous restrictive voter laws by claiming that “There’s only one class of people who are going to be discouraged from voting, and that’s fraudulent voters.” If the Republicans do not demand answers in this case it only follows that It’s OK to get around the law If You’re A Republican.
