I know. There are other Trump threads. If this feels redundant, shut it down. But there are occasionally moments so over the fucking top that I feel like they deserve their own separate discussion. It took me 15 minutes to watch the video because I had to stop every 20 or 30 seconds because I was so fucking embarrassed, horrified, and disgusted. Every aspect of it is fucking horrific. They falsely accuse Zelensky for being ungrateful and specifically not being grateful, even though he said thank you like 5 times. They blame him for not making peace by SURRENDERING HIS WHOLE FUCKING COUNTRY to a monster. But somehow we hit a new low every fucking day. I will almost certainly never feel good about this country for the rest of my life. It is a disgusting place full of disgusting people. ---

Words can scarcely describe my utter disgust at this turn of events. Zelensky did what he could. He has more class in his pinky fingernail than Trump and Vance have in their entire bloated carcasses. Fuck them. ---

I saw some discussion on reddit with conservatives that said something to the effect of: “of course the Russian-Trump link the left is always trying to push is nonsensical, but why is Trump always siding with Russia?” I still see people treating the Trump-Russia links with skepticism – not even hardcore Trumpers but “centrists” when we’ve seen 10 years of Trump attacking absolutely everyone – his own country, his own allies, fucking everyone - except Putin. And always saying Russian propaganda every time he’s given the chance. And I think it’s probably the same shit we’ve been seeing for 20 years now from the “centrists” – that shit sounds so crazy and so evil that it can’t possibly be true, you guys must be exaggerating, stuff like that doesn’t happen here. ---

What an asshole. First he calls Zelensky a “dictator”, then denies he said it, and now this giant fuck you to someone who seems like a decent leader. Trump deserves whatever karmic catastrophe comes his way. ---

Trump will assure Zelenskyy that Putin will not attack again because of a treaty … although Putin swore not to attack Ukraine when they gave Russia their nuclear weapons that were protecting them from Russia. ---

So Trump 1. demanded out of the blue with no notice or negotiation that Ukraine has to gift 50% of its mineral rights to the US FOREVER. This also DID NOT COME WITH A GUARANTEE FOR CONTINUED US PROTECTION. Simply “hey, sign this, give us a huge chunk of your future forever, and you get nothing” with a fucking gun held to their head. 2. Said that Ukraine started the war. Tried to justify it by implying somehow that if they had just surrendered in the first place, there would’ve been peace, so obviously Ukraine is the war monger. 3. Called Zelensky a dictator while also sucking Putin’s dick as the most peace loving amazing statesman ever 4. Tried to humiliate and bully and extort Ukraine in front of the whole fucking world in a completely nonsensical and evil and embarrassing attack 5. Tries to blame Zelensky for being “disrespectful” and ungrateful he has done absolutely nothing wrong and 6. (Give it a day or two) Then uses such “disrespect” to justify abandoning Ukraine to the Russians. The only question is: is Trump going to send American troops or munitions to actually fight on Russia’s side, or is he just going to count on the sudden complete stop of support to topple Ukraine? ---

Good on Zelensky for realizing that he would never get any guarantee from the US while Trump is in office. At least no guarantee that is worth anything. So at least he got it all on the record, and when the US abandons Ukraine the Ukrainians (perhaps with EU support) can continue to fight without trying to placate a US that is clearly acting in Russia’s interest. Better to rip off the mask and make it clear where the US stands. Nobody needs an “ally” that is really working for your enemy. ---

Trump yesterday: “We must dig, dig dig and dig we must” (or something close). He was not going to stop getting the USA’s “money back” at $120 million, $350 million, the $500 million amount he pulled out his ass the other day. He cost his Putin, his son-in-law and Musk trillions of what the USA was going to ravage Ukraine for today. No gold statues of himself in Kiev. No bearded belly dancers. Putin still will want his cut and Trump is likely to let him take as much more land as he wants, imagining Zeleksky will come crawling back with one of his “Sir, I am sorry” stories. ---
