Bringing this down from the ideological to the individual, a Melbourne schoolkid, born in Australia to Iranian parents has been refused a visa/entry to the US to attend a ‘Space Camp’. This is one of those smart, nerdy kids who have studied hard to have such a brilliant opportunity, but because he is a dual-national (Iran/Aus) he’s deemed a threat to US security? To bring this back from the **Okrahoma**! Show\* to the topic at hand, I was particularly disturbed by Steve Bannon’s role in this fiasco and simultaneous appointment to the National Security Council. Nope, but to my everlasting shame my first thought after I read the news wasn’t sympathy, it was “Now I have to hear about how this means the ban was a good idea.” It takes some real mental gymnastics (and a decided lack of heart) to believe something like this could help further their ill-conceived agenda…but I was pretty confident they could pull it off. I don’t post all that much, but the sheer stupidity of all this just boggles my mind. Ignore the heartlessness if you want, it’s just an idiotic plan if your goal is to make your country safer. It isn’t even really working if your goal was to unite the country in fear… Also, regarding the Terrorists flocking to the USA to try and beat the ban…I’ve posted this before, but it was comforting to me as a child. My dad once said that if someone wants to kill you badly enough, they will, so there isn’t any sense worrying about it. Just try to be good to people; it’s the only thing you can do. My point is, if they are angry enough, they will find a way. ---

All this shit does, is validate and help ISIS. They can now say to their followers and prospective friends… “See that shit? This is what we were warning you about. This is what we were fighting against” **And it will sell.** Trump is the best friend they have right now. He is a walking talking ISIS advertisement. ---

It was mentioned on CNN that if she is fired, there will be no one to perform that duty. Only a Senate confirmed person can sign those warrants. I’ll bet Trump doesn’t know that. ---

The injunctions are 1. not permanent and 2. do not affect the executive order except on margins. The one lawsuit filed will not need to be defended for a while yet. Definitely not for the few days that it will take Jeff Sessions to be confirmed.
