No, he hasn’t.

He’s taken four of his business enterprises bankrupt. His other businesses remained solvent and have prospered. He’s also never filed personal bankruptcy.

It’s clear you don’t understand how corporate bankruptcies work, nor the difference between corporate bankruptcies and personal ones. It would behoove you to educate yourself before make any further such proclamations

What part of “he has gone bankrupt four times” is not factually correct? And this is Elections, not the Pit, so moderate your tone.

Because in bankruptcy law there’s a difference between corporate bankruptcies and personal ones. Trump did not go bankrupt; some of his companies did.

And I believe we’re allowed to call out other posters for their ignorance in this forum, and most others. I didn’t call you a name or call you a liar, so as far as I know I’m golden.

Kind of like Trump. 😃

But how many of the general GOP base would respond, “But why shouldn’t we? They’re terrorists!” Might the countering by the “establishment” harden their hearts towards Ryan, Cheney, et al and their favored candidates?

Looks to me like his Muslim ban comments are only increasing his support. And it’s not hard to understand why. It’s the wrong answer given the current circumstances, but it’s also a no bullshit answer. If mainstream candidates would speak clearly and honestly Trump would have no following.

Does this mean you think that the mainstream Republicans’ responses to Trump’s comment strike the electorate as “bullshit”?

I think that most mainstream politicians speak fluent bullshit. Especially when it comes to immigration and visa issues. I think that what most of them would like to say is, “Our current policies are adequate, should even be more liberal” but what we actually get is a lot of hemming and hawing and promises to maybe enforce the law a little better in unspecified ways. And that’s because most Americans would probably not characterize our current visa or immigration policies as adequate or not liberal enough.

Given a choice between bullshit and extreme no-nonsense, a large portion of voters will go for the extreme no-nonsense. And those of us who embrace the bullshit only do it because we’ve made the effort to try to translate it and decide that it means something we can accept. And then only because there are no better alternatives.

That’s quite true, as is the following example:

> [@DMC](#):
>
> He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed. - Exodus 22:20
>
> If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the Lord thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying, certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known; Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you; Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword. And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the Lord thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again. - Deuteronomy 13:12-16
>
> For fuck’s sake, even their cows are not safe.
>
> Needless to say, I could go on and on and on with similar verses.

The difference, though, is that Muslims seem to be behind adherents of other religions in their stage of development, such that they take their intolerant scripture more seriously even in the 21st century: more on a par with how Christians did decades or centuries ago. Compare for example the controversy over Martin Scorsese’s film “The Last Temptation of Christ”. Thirty years later it probably wouldn’t even incite the minor stir it did in the '80s. But distribute “The Last Temptation of Muhammad” and you will get riots across the Muslim world, very possibly shootings or bombings at any theatre that dared to exhibit the film, and the film’s producers, director, and actors would have to go into hiding the way the Danish cartoonist did (and the way the Charlie Hebdo cartoonists probably should have).

I am waiting for Trump to next suggest, without the slightest hint of irony, that all muslims should be forced to wear a green moon badge on their clothing so everyone can identify them.

Please someone get on a mic at one of his rallies and suggest that so we can see him run his mouth with it…

Yes you are correct, the big difference is that Christians are not carrying out atrocities from the Bible in this day and age, the massive problem is that Islam encourages Muslims to live their lives as the prophet Mohamad lived his life 1400 years ago, this is has become a major problem in Europe. As a Christian I treat the Old Testament that you have quoted as a history book (unreliable as it is) My Holy Scripture is the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament

Jesus asks Christians to tell people the good news, we are then told to allow them to make their own mind up, we are told to love them not to threaten them. A massive difference between Christianity and Islam

Have you read the Quran so that you can make a true comparssion

Yes, all religions that don’t proselytize. Eg Judaism, Hindusim, Sikhism, Jainism. Buddhism is also pretty tolerant although some dominations do seek converts.

You’ve got a system designed to be porous to capitalist interference and manipulation. People becomes politicians to make money. Big money.

Those are the underpinnings and ideals.

Trump is very unhappy that Angela Merkel was chosen as Times Person of the Year.

He can’t understand why they would choose the person who is “ruining Germany.”
