No, read strictly **adaher** ’s prediction is not that only those candidates may be nominated, but simply that only one of those will win (“the next President”). So if it turns out to be for example Rubio over Clinton, or Sanders over Trump, he will have been correct. ---

Yeah, that line blew my mind as well. I mean, I know intellectually that Victorian prudery was more extreme than what came before it, but it is still hard to grasp that stuff like this was in print in the 1700s–from a woman, no less! If it’s not conscious and it was used on NPR with no controversy by a political reporter in 2011, I don’t see how the origin matters. People say something “sucks” without the homophobic origin being in mind. In any case, at the same appearance his reaction to Hillary Clinton using the bathroom, calling it disgusting, is the offense people should be paying attention to. ---

What would the response be, IF, Trump “manned up” and apologised along the lines Hey guys, I’m sorry, it seems that schlonged has acquired some different regional interpretations I wasn’t aware of. When I grew up in Queen’s, it basically meant routed. Others have said that it has some rather nasty sexual connotations - given this, perhaps you’d allow me to update myself to say that Clinton got an embarrassing shelacking from the Obama team. ---

That doesn’t fit his schtick (another word from Yiddish, I assume). Did anyone see the SNL parody of the Republican debate from nine days ago? The parts where Trump shot back at Jeb, accusing him of peeing sitting down and so on, were hilarious but also spot on in their deeper truth.
