The Republicans will say a lot of things. The more zealous may even believe them, in private. Fifty years from now, if still a democracy, there may finally be some soul searching about what happens when the intellectual principles of a traditional party are sacrificed wholesale to an empty cult of personality. Or perhaps efforts to learn anew how to locate the spine. Trump still has a chance of winning, of course. Maybe something more than mere pettifoggery will be accomplished. Donā€™t hold your breath. ---

Oops donā€™t know why I put Biden, I meant to say Pence. Concerns are not new but in years past most Republicans were willing to accept the decisions of the people and the courts. If George W Bush was convicted of a felony the GOP would have rejected him. MAGA has been trying to get Biden put in court over his handling of secret documents and Hunterā€™s tax. Iā€™m not in the US so not sure if it has been mentioned but will all future elections be fought in the courts as every presential candidate has several charges brought against them by prosecuters with a leaning toward the other party? ---
