# Truncated Names (Ursula aNDRESS)

In [Why did they make the Dr. No movie first?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=570138) started 07-08-2010, 07:17 PM by **PSXer** , I said [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=12671438&postcount=20) and **Johnny L.A.** said [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=12671595&postcount=22), so here we are in The Game Room with something that started in Cafe Society.

The idea is simple:

Get a well-known person’s name and chop it up so that it forms a new word that may (hopefully) shed some humorous light on that person, or at least make for a giggle or two.

The MAD Magazine source is hereby recognized, as is **Johnny L.A.**'s calling attention to it.
