The bird/plane stuff was the reactions of people in the crowd looking up. It was something unusual in the sky and some people will always jump to the wrong idea in those situations. In reality, it was really a space alien who forgot to bring along his UFO. ---

So just how does “Superman with no secret identity” work, anyway? I mean, it’s one thing for his close friends, like Lois, Jimmy Olsen, and maybe Perry White to know. Maybe even Lex Luthor, if he has some reason to keep it a secret. But Clark Kent ultimately wants to just be an ordinary guy, and that’s really hard when everyone knows you’re Superman. ---
