I used to wonder that myself as a youngster.
But the thing that really confused me was the intro…

Why was that a big deal? Of course there are birds in the sky. Does that need to be announced to a downtown throng of Metropolites?
Same for a plane. There’s a plane in the sky? Big whoop.
The bird/plane stuff was the reactions of people in the crowd looking up. It was something unusual in the sky and some people will always jump to the wrong idea in those situations. In reality, it was really a space alien who forgot to bring along his UFO.
Hey! Someone still has to handle Kryptonite threats…
So just how does “Superman with no secret identity” work, anyway? I mean, it’s one thing for his close friends, like Lois, Jimmy Olsen, and maybe Perry White to know. Maybe even Lex Luthor, if he has some reason to keep it a secret. But Clark Kent ultimately wants to just be an ordinary guy, and that’s really hard when everyone knows you’re Superman.

This whole thing should be good for an entire month of programming on Fox “News”.
What if they changed it to: “Yes, it’s Superman, strange immigrant from another planet, who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men”?
The future ain’t what it used to be.
Flip their outrage on its head. “Conservatives are against a better tomorrow.” Didn’t we know this all along.
Nostalgia was so much better back in the day.
Or Wonder Woman in her invisible jet. 
Speaking of the radio programs, that’s where, Up, up and away! came from, a verbal sting needed for the listening audience to know he was launching himself into flight.
