Well, when I was about 10 years old, I used to steal fairly regularly from this convenience store. The girls in my neighborhood taught me how. One day I attempted to steal three packs of gum from them. I didn’t, I put them back, but the guy must have seen me getting ready to. He grabbed me on the way out, bawled me out, searched me thoroughly, and told me to never ever come back no matter what. I ran home crying, and since that day have not had the desire to steal again. ---

I was supposed to meet her outside of a Chinese Restaurant, and ended up standing outside waiting forever. This was obviously long ago, in the days before cell phones. My first date ever my mother drove us to see _Grease_ at the old Clearwater Mall. In a large blue Chevy station wagon. Which was kind of embarassing, but the date was fine. ---
