Yep… (oh the shame!)  
I’d been going out with my old SO for a couple of years when he started getting LOTS of text messages - and at really odd times like late at night, or first thing in the morning. Beep beep bloody beepity beep. After a while I asked why and he said he’d signed up to a new news service… (my arse)… as this co-incided with the general demise of snuggly fun and/or sexy fun I was miserable/paranoid/insecure you name it. So, we had a big old barney, I grabbed his phone and unfortunately confirmed my suspicions… and a benny hill style chase round the flat ensued with me reading (ok maybe yelling) that manky old trollopy slags dirty messages out to the whole house. I was not amused. My flatmates were… and still mock me…

You’re an actress in a Broadway musical! :eek: But your crush on a Doper in this thread is so strong that it overpowers your professionalism and good sense: as you take the stage for your song, you decide to sing about your devotion to this Doper instead of the words to your character’s song. :smack:

Of course, the orchestra is still playing, so whatever you sing has to fit the rhyme and scansion of the actual song in the show. 😃

So - pick a show, pick a character, pick a song, and sing us the first verse or two – your words of devotion, to the tune of a Broadway showtune. 😛  
That Mulligan looking like a mighty fine investment long 'bout now, wouldn’t you say? 🙂

Wow, I’m thinking you gave me a really easy one, although you did make it harder by saying it can’t be specific. My state has some of the worst policies ever. Let’s start with education. Some of the parts of the educational policies they have are just mind-bogglingly stupid! I can’t tell you just which ones, but it’s clear that these policies were created by the same brain-dead results of the educational system that they are creating – it’s self-continuing! Then there are the damn roads. If you could see where they spend money on roads, which roads they’re building to nowhere, which ones they are leaving that need work – why, near me, there’s a major freeway that they started on and left UNFINISHED – with the supports there, and no intention of finishing them! Don’t even get me started on personal rights. It’s not bad enough that it’s a low-civil right state, but there’s a measure on the ballot for tomorrow to make it worse. Who’s bright idea was that? Of course, this is from the state that brought you, uh, Scandal-Guy, who nevertheless gets reelected constantly (thank god and greyhound I moved out of his district some time back, he’s completely unresponsive to his own constituents). Policies! Don’t talk to me about frikkin’ policies!!!

(I hope that’s okay, I’m really not very good with rants.)

A few weeks ago, I was buying some furniture - some of those assemble-yourself shelving units, for my wife’s workshop. I was getting a whole lot of different pieces, to shelf this entire room in the house we just moved into. The checker was ringing them up in groups as she could, and at one point, she scanned the lesser of two similar items, and rang up two of them, not realizing that there was a large ($30) price difference between the two. I should have corrected her, but let it slide, since I was saving on the deal.

All afternoon, I felt awful. :wally

Neither of you NEED the Truth-Or-Dare Mulligan, that much is clear – but they make excellent stocking stuffers – or Hanukah gifts! ;j

_Nada. Cero._ Absent a forced position (e.g., “She needs a uvula transplant, or she will die! You’ve got to help me, Mr. Gates.”) where the possible end result is much more of a tragedy than what could, er… pop up as a result of the infidelity, the reasonings for my choice for each are as follows:

Question (a): My faithfulness to my wife is paramount;  
Question (b): It’d have to be her choice; I wouldn’t want to sell her like I were renting out a room.

Hmm. I think it would probably involve nudity, mainly because nakedness = good (yes, i’m a teenager, how did you know? 😛 ) and also because i’m not really that body conscious, so I wouldn’t mind being dared something similar in return. So, yeah, probably a streaking of some kind - bonus points for doing it outside 😛
